Dear Friends and Neighbors,

As the Pines Care Center (PCC) starts its 29th season, we want to thank the community for its generous support, which enables the continued provision of medical services in the Pines. In these tough economic times, we want you to know that we continue to use every dollar donated to the PCC efficiently and effectively.

We hope you will not need the services of one of our doctors this season, but if you do and it’s an emergency, please remember to call 911 first and then the doctor at (631) 597–6160. Our doctors will be available for office visits daily from 11 a.m. to noon and from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m.

As done for the last two years, the PCC Board of Directors self-administers the doctor coverage and we have commitments from doctors to offer their services almost continually from Memorial Day through the end of September.

Further, we continue to be offer services at the PCC free-of-charge, a direct result of your request and generosity, as well as practicality.

As always, we must rely on the Pines community for financial support. We ask that you make a contribution to the PCC; you can mail in the below linked form or donate online using the form below. Your contribution is very much appreciated!

If you’re acknowledged in the report as one of our supporters in 2009 (see the link for DONORS), we thank you and hope you will continue your commitment this year. If you have not contributed in the past, we encourage you to join your neighbors and service providers who help ensure that we are able to enjoy our time in the Pines with the peace of mind in knowing that a doctor is nearby if needed.

And please look for a PCC table in the harbor during the season, where we will be selling valuable First Aid Kits, which would be an important item for each home. Also feel free to call us or stop by to arrange getting a kit.
